Religion Bee

In February, Nicholas competed in the the annual religion bee at Queen of Angels.  He tested his knowledge of the Catholic Faith up against all the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders of his school (about 160 kids) and he won!!!!!  To say we are proud of him is an understatement! And he was a great sport, congratulating the other kids and thanking the moderators.  Way to go Nicholas!!
The whole pod erupted in applause for him when he got the last question right and all his friends flooded to him with hugs and congratulations....to see that kind of friendship and support for him was the best part the whole event!!  It brought tears  of happiness and thankfulness to our eyes for the great school and friends we are blessed to have our children a part of.

Nicholas was the intermediate pod winner and the girl on the far right was the alternate runner up.  The middle 2 kids are the middle school winner and runner up.  Nicholas and Ally (the middle school winner) both advanced to the Archdiocese Religion Bee.
Nicholas went to the Chancery of the Archdiocese of Atlanta and competed against  the 3rd.4th and 5th graders of all the other Catholic schools in the diocese.
My heart went out to him, it was super intense in that room!  But he kept his cool and did great.  He placed around 7 or 8th out of about 15 kids.  So very proud of him!
