Hilton Head 2019

This summer for our family vacation, we returned to Hilton Head for the third time (we just love it so much there!). This time we rented a condo (Sweet Pea By the Sea in Ocean's Gate Villas) right outside of Sea Pines.  It was perfect!  We had a pool and tennis courts right out our back deck and the beach was an easy 5 minute walk.  Coligny Beach was an smooth 1 mile bike ride away as well.  We had perfect weather.  Most of the week was spent at the beach just hanging out, but we also rented bikes and took a couple bike rides, swam at the pool and played tennis, had family game and movie nights, visited the Coastal Discovery Museum, met up with two other families we are friends with on different occasions, and of course enjoyed plenty of great sea food and ice cream!  A perfect Pinto Vacation!!!

Our friends, the Heiser's, happened to be vacationing in HHI the same week so we met at Skull Creek Boathouse one night for dinner.  Grace and Caroline are good buddies and classmates so we couldn't pass up this fun photo op :-)

This was the first time we rented bikes and have ever road bikes as an entire family - it was awesome!!  The beach here is so wide and packed down from the wide tide difference that it was a easy ride even for the kids

Even though Sam can ride a bike on his own, they didn't have a bike small enough for him to handle easily so he rode a tagalong and really helped out pedaling a lot!!

We introduced the kids to Twister and it was a big hit!

Our friends, the Hudkins Family, were also vacationing in HI that week so we went over to their beach house one day so the kids could play at the beach together.  We also met them one evening to watch Gregg Russel sing.

Nicholas and William are good buddies and found several sand dollars while hanging out at the beach together.

Sam and Evelyn had fun digging in the sand together.

Grace and Clara had a blast together!
