This year, since in person Vacation Bible School couldn't happen, we decided to have our own home school style VBS. I downloaded a curriculum from Catholic Icing. The week's theme was the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. All the kids and Genevieve and I all agreed it was a great fun week!
The craft on the first day was making their own "Sharpie Tie Die" VBS shirts
This pool noodle heart I made was a decoration for the week but also served as a game one day where they did a frisbee toss through it
Sacred Heart Tic-Tac-Toe
For snack one day they made Sacred heart strawberry shortcakes
Another day they made "play dough" sacred heart cookies
One day was service project day - we made 100 sandwiches for a homeless shelter at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in down town Atlanta.
delivering the sandwiches to the shelter down town
On Friday we made personal pizzas decorated like the scared hearts
Samuel is modeling for us some of the other fun crafts they made - saint puppets, a pinwheel, bracelets, and a borax crystal heart.
Borax crystal heart - super cool experiment!
