On July 26, 2020, Henry made his First Holy Communion! He had been anxiously awaiting this special day, particularly since it had been postponed from April due to Covid19. But the day finally came and it was a beautiful one - if fact, God blessed Henry with 2 rainbows the weekend of his first communion....we all feel Grandpa in heaven had a big hand in this special blessing for Henry - a way of letting him know that Grandpa is present and watching over his little buddy and always with him in spirit. It was also such a blessing that Grandma, Aunt Mindy, Uncle Cody, Connor and Matthew, Aunt Kelly, Megan, Genevieve, and the whole Kevin Pinto family were able to travel to be present for the blessed day. The Schoenecke and Boyle families also joined us for the celebration. Only 5 guests could attend the mass in person, and of course masks were worn, due to Covid restrictions, but everyone was able to join in via the live stream mass and then celebrate in our home afterward. What a beautiful weekend! Henry we pray you always turn to the Eucharist for your source of strength and guidance, all your life and you remain close to Christ, full of love and peace always! Congratulations Henry on receiving the true bread of life!!!
The night before his First Communion, this lovely rainbow appeared in the sky.
