It was an at home Independence Day this year. We started the morning off with the annual neighborhood bike parade. The kids love decorating their bikes and Grace even won first place this year :-). I was proud especially because she had donated some of her decorations and had helped the new neighbor kids decorate their bikes - so she certainly deserved the prize this year! After the parade we headed to the pool to swim and hang out and picnic for the afternoon. We grilled out for dinner and then ended the evening with a fireworks display put on in our cul de sac by our neighbors. What a great holiday!

I have to say it was the closest I've been to this size fireworks and it was a little too close for comfort/safety in my opinion, thankfully all stayed safe and had fun!
