Other Fall Fun

Fall is always full of fun activities!  Here some of the highlights.....

Shawn and Nicholas had the opportunity to attend the first Atlanta United game played in the new Mercedes Benz stadium.

They had an amazing time!!

Nicholas learned how to whittle in Cub Scouts - starting with a bar of soap.

Nicholas' class service project was centered around care of creation this year - they learned about bee keeping , planted flowers to attract the honey bees as well as made bees wax candles which they delivered to St George's Village. (I don't have pictures of Grace or Henry's service projects but Grace's class made blankets with the St George Village residents which were then given to Ronald McDonald House.  Henry's class made goody bags for Ronald McDonald House.

As part of the Spiritual Angels team, myself and other volunteer moms present 4 religious themes to the class each year.  This was the Our Lady of Guadalupe craft (Juan Diego tilmas) that went along with our puppet show for kindergarten (Henry's class).

The Annual Embrace Walk to Remember  - the butterfly release  - remembering Juliana

Sadly, our good friends the Hines lost Connor's (baby on the left) twin sister this year so they joined us for the walk.  They are the second family of good friends in the last couple years to also lose a baby.  It's not a club we all want to be in together - but we are blessed to have each other.

Samuel has decided not to go to bed in his own bed for babysitters lately - so this is usually what we come home to - big sister always welcomes him into her bed and takes care of him.
