| On October 22, Samuel turned 3 years old!!!!! |
Dear Samuel,
The past 3 years, you have brought an immeasurable amount of joy to our family! You are one spunky, active, talkative, mischievous, smart and loving little guy! At three years old, you know all your capital letters, most of the lowercase and most of the sounds. You can count to 40, spell your name, recite a ton of nursery rhymes, songs and prayers on your own (Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be, Guardian Angel prayer and Meal blessing), as well as put together several 12-15 pc puzzles on your own. You are completely potty trained as of last summer. You are still a picky eater but are getting a little bit better in that department. You are SUPER active! You love to run and jump and climb on any and everything..including the furniture. You often use the kitchen cabinet/drawer handles like a ladder or climbing wall to get up into the top cabinets to sneak snacks. You love chocolate and often wake up in the morning telling us you smell chocolate! We fondly call you our little Dennis the Mennis - because you seem to look for trouble daily...but always with that sweet smile on your face! You remain stubborn and can be a challenging child in that regard. But you are also so unbelievably sweet...always showering us with hugs and kisses and loving to snuggle up! Your favorite books are Blueberries for Sal, Quiet Bunny, and Kiss Goodnight. You love to play with your siblings and hang with them quite well. You can swing a lightsaber, shoot a laser tag gun, host a tea party, and put on a show just as well as the rest of them! You have a great imagination and we love to hear you make up stories and play pretend with your race cars. You love to ride your scooter, play soccer, baseball and basketball. Really, you love to play most anything outside! You are a big talker....as in non stop, all day long...and your vocabulary is quite impressive! We can't imagine life without you...you are such a blessing to our family and we love you with all our hearts and always will!

HERE ARE A FEW OF SAMUEL'S FAVORITES AT THE AGE OF 3 (in his words):
Stuffed animal/doll - Giraff and Puppy (he has 3 versions of Dalmatian dogs....he calls 2 "sad puppy" and 1 "happy puppy" I think because of the way the stitching is on their mouths)
Food - pizza
Movie - Polar Express
Show - Paw Patrol
Clothes to Wear - sporty clothes
Game - Fishy game
Snack - pouches
Animal - dogs
Song - ABC's
Book - Where the Wild Things Are
Friends - Charlie and ChooChoo (it's 1 person with a nickname but he always says both names)
Drink - water
Outside activity - ride my scooter
Sport - football with Dad and Henry and Nicholas
Park activity - slide down the slide
Inside activity - games
Place to go - park
Fruit - raspberries
Vegetables - I don't like vegetables (hence the pouches)
