We weren't able to travel this year for Thanksgiving, due to work schedules, so we were blessed to be invited over to our friends, the Ratliffs, home for the holiday. There were several families with whom we are good friends gathered together, and since the kids are also buddies, it was a wonderful day for all...complete with 3 turkeys (2 roasted and 1 deep fried) and all the fix'ins (as they say here in the south)!! Living away from family can be really tough at times, but we are so thankful for friends who have become like family over the years!! What a blessing good friends are!!
