A Summer of Fun

Summer 2017 was full of lots of fun family time around home.  Here are a few snapshots of how we spent our time.

Last day of school is Olympic Day - here's Nicholas with a few of his buddies.  Nicholas is was the  3rd grade hoola hoop champ again this year - that's a 4 year streak now!
Grace's kindergarten class held a "moving on" ceremony.  (Grace is top row in the middle)

Our kids and a few others volunteered, on behalf of their Cub Scout den, to put up the flags all around the church for Memorial Day this year.  Here's their "silly picture" after all their hard work.
Nicholas and Grace swam for the Roswell Rapids this summer.  It was Nicholas' 2nd yr and Grace's 1st.    Nicholas loved swimming so much he decided to try year round league after the summer league ended.  Grace loved the practices but got too nervous to swim in any of meets.  She is a strong swimmer, just needs some self confidence!
She earned this 4th place ribbon after stalling to start (because she was nervous)  and her coach had to jump in to coax her on in the race.  If she would have just jumped in and swam she could have made first easily!
A good little swimmer who made a lot of progress this summer.  Way to go Nicholas!  These are from 1 meet.

Henry planted and maintained a garden for the second summer.  While he worked hard on it, I think we just don't get enough sun in our yard to really have a strong crop.  We did get a few green beans but that was about it this year.

Nicholas and Henry like to go shirtless at night in the summer and guess who decided to join in?!

A little water fun to cool off in the GA heat!

Daddy took the boys fishing a couple of times - no big catches but still a lot of fun quality time.

What is a summer without sleepovers in you homemade kids' fort in the basement!?

A little fun at the Roswell Sprayground

Roswell Puppet series is always a summertime favorite!  Here we are getting an up close look at the marionettes  after the show.

And of course, what would summer be without Samuel up to some sort of mischief!?  On this particular day he decided to get a ladder to get to the top shelf where the chocolate chips are kept!

They made binoculars at Michael's Craft Camp.  (they also did a week long bible craft camp on a farm but I didn't get any pictures)

Celebrating our friend Phil's 40th birthday!

Church events with good friends
Always a good helper in the kitchen...that's our Henry!

Supposed to be taking a nap...at least he is quiet!!!

Big brothers and sister love to dress up Samuel!

My little chef

Samuel loves to shoot baskets in the driveway

Henry was confident enough. to jump off the diving board for the first time this summer - loved it so much, he couldn't get enough of doing it!

Cub Scout Water Day - rain gutter regatta

Cub Scout Water Day - giant slip n slide

Cub Scout Water Day - giant water balloon fight

Pool party for the newest Q of A Guardians entering kindergarten...the class of 2026!

Good buddies will be starting school together in the same class!!

Viewing the total eclipse (seen at 95% from where we live)

Quality time with people we love - the Boyles - good friends and Samuel's godparents
