On April 22, 2023 Grace received the Sacrament of Confirmation and was sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit at our home parish, St. Peter Chanel. Bishop Joel Konzen was the presider along with Monsignor Peter and Fr. Paul. Grace asked her cousin Rory to sponsor her as she took on the new name, Joan, as in St. Joan of Arc. She chose St Joan of Arc for her fortitude and courage. Grace, may the Holy Spirit guide you in all your ways and decisions in life. May you have the courage and fortitude that young Joan had to stand firm in your faith, no matter the trial or challenge you face. And may you know how greatly you are loved by us your family, by your whole church family, and most especially by the Lord God himself...He made you for greatness!!!! Congratulations Grace!!!
Nicholas and Henry were both honored to be asked to serve the mass!
So special to make the sacrament together with good friends like Natalie!
Grace grew close to and learned to admire her cousin Rory when Rory had spent a summer as our nanny a couple years ago. How beautiful that she can continue to share her faith and sponsor Grace on her faith journey!
We were so grateful Shawn's mom could be here too! My mom was at my nephew's First Communion on the same day...so many wonderful sacraments to celebrate!
