Happy Easter!

This year, Easter coincided with spring break well enough that we could spend part of Holy Week and Easter in Missouri which was a real treat! It had been about 12-13 years since we had been in MO for Easter so none of the kids have any memories of it.
We participated in a live Stations of the Cross in Troy which my  mom and Aunt Donna's family have been doing for the past several years.  It is an ecumenical service through the streets of the town and different people can take turns carrying the cross.  Henry and Sam took a turn and even got into the local newspaper!

Easter Vigil mass at Mindy's parish of St Joseph's was so lovely.

The Easter Bunny came to us even in MO :-)

We went to the Eisenbath Farm for Easter Sunday - the same tradition we've always done since I was born.  Each year there is a huge feast and then the children and some of the parents go on a walk.  When we get back the Easter bunny has come and hidden eggs all around the yard for the kids to find. We always sing Easter songs on the walk such as "I Had a Chocolate Rabbit" and "Here Comes Peter Cottontail."
This year something new, my Aunt Pam and Uncle David brought their horses for rides. Sam especially was super excited about this!

Even Grandma rode the horse!

All the family together - with Dad and Juliana looking on from heaven.

I have so many happy memories at the farm and was happy to share a little bit with Shawn and the kids!
