Happy 7th Birthday Samuel!!

 Dear Samuel,

At seven years old, you are a dear, sweet, and spunky little boy!  Your cute, funny, big personality in a little body captures the hearts of everyone you encounter.  You are doing great so far in first grade and are reading like a champ!  You love to learn at school but most of all you love PE and recess and playing sports at both.  You love to play football with your friends at recess and ,with your brothers at home in the yard (and in the house!).  You LOVE sports - you will play any sport, any time, against anyone,  and it does not phase you one bit if they are 3 times your age or size!  It's not unusual for you to go outside to play for an hour or two and see you end up playing basketball, football, baseball and lacrosse with the neighbor boy who is 3 yrs older or your older brothers,  and you will happily be on a team on your own,  against them,  and play a hard scrappy game the whole time.  You have a lot of energy so we try to channel it into sports.  You also love to play in the attic with your siblings building wooden block buildings lined with army men or zoob cannons.  You love to custom create desserts for the family, which are always interesting!  It's not uncommon for you to show up, any time of the day, with a cup of coffee you made for me or tea you made for Daddy.  You are so sweet with your thoughtful gestures.  You love to play any board or card game and have really gotten into chess recently as well.  Despite your high energy, you still love to snuggle and often beg for us to sleep with you at night some times.  You shower us with hugs and kisses all the time and we love and cherish every single one!  May God bless you this year with much joy, health and happiness!!

New robe from Grandma that he loves...

Sam has been asking all year for a fish tank - so we finally agreed to our first ever pet - some fish - for his birthday!

He had his first ever friends birthday party and we had it at Stars and Strikes.  It ended up being a combo party with his friend Jack b/c they happened to have booked the same place on the same day so had decided to combine the events which was a great success!  I made the cupcakes, including the candies on top.

At the party, they bowled, played laser tag, bumper cars and had fun in the arcade.
