Dear Grace,
You are a lovely young lady at 11 years old. Your are super tall for your age. You have settled on swimming and running as "your" sports and truly love both - swimming year round and running both track and cross country. It's been so fun watching you really excel and learn and grow a great deal in both sports over the past year. It's also been great to see you you make friendships everywhere you go - you have great friends at school, at swimming, and at running. You are always kind and thoughtful towards your friends, often making them cards or little gifts out of the blue. You still love to craft, particularly to make gifts for others - we can see the true joy you have in thinking of others' interests and then taking the time, energy and creativity to craft something just for them. You love school - you like to learn, you like the social aspects, and the structure too. You love to read, alter serve, and to cook. You are super big helper at home with most any household chore - you are eager to help and always do a great job. You are sweet sister to your brothers and certainly don't mind helping keep them in line! We are so blessed to have you as our beautiful daughter and pray the next year brings you much happiness, health and success! We love you Grace!
With Love,
Mom and Dad
On her actual birthday, we had pasta salad for dinner and gave her our family gifts.
The following weekend we held a Cooking themed party at our house with 5 of her friends. The each made a customized baked pasta recipe, then played several games, decorated cupcakes for a cupcake war competition, and then ate their delicious dinner. It was a great time! Lots of giggles!!!
Grace baked and decorated her cake completely on her own - meant to look like a running race bib.
She handmade each girl a pot holder to go with the spatula and cookie cutters as their party favor.
In leui of gifts, she asked her guests to bring a donation for SVDP.
Her big gift from us was tickets for a mother daughter night out to the Lauren Daigle Concert - it was super fun!!!
