Other Fall Fun.....

Here's a smattering of other activities that filled our fall to the fullest....so thankful and blessed!

Family hike at Leita Thompson Park trails

Cool nature finds!
Back to school Friday park play date
Arts and crafts - painting Henry's volcano
Nicholas got his round 1 of braces off after having them for 1 year
This little guy played on a soccer team for the first time.  Technically a couple months too young to sign up, he was ready to play after years of sitting on the sidelines with big brothers and sister....he loved it!
He was the smallest one on the team by a head at least,  but was such a go getter, he scored multiple goals in every single game!  He played hard and loved every minute!
Henry also played in the U8 level and had a great season as well.
Henry's team
He had some great friends on his team, like Davis
And Addie ....these two buddies some how ended up both being #15...the debate still goes on today "who is the REAL #15?" :-)

Cub scout meetings - Henry was so excited to finally officially be a cub scout and participating with his own den...at this meeting they were making bird feeders

Our friends the Schoeoneckes showered us with love when Dad died, they had Shawn and the kids over for dinner while I was away working on arrangements, etc.  They cut open their giant watermelon grown in their garden.

Samuel has become a puzzle man

Fun with friends at the parish fall festival

And this friend from the Knights of Columbus, Mr McGivney, is one of the boys' favorites

Henry walked away with many (too many) big wins at the cake walk, the biggest of which was this "death by chocolate" cake from Alpine Bakery!

Henry sanded and stained the bird house he and Grandpa had made together this last summer - this was a bitter sweet moment.

Grace's class visited the nursing home for their class service project.

This retired priest there gave her a special blessing.
These two were our toothless twins for awhile - both missing their 2 front teeth at the same time.
Shawn and I attended the Regnum Christi gala at the GA Aquarium.  We went with the men  (and their wives) from his Encounter group (pictured here).

Nicholas and Grace performed their fall piano recital at the St George Village nursing home - it was Halloween weekend so they donned their costumes for the occasion!

Samuel carved our fmaily pumpkin for us this fall

Fall uniform time.....
And never to be left out....our little pumpkin!
Henry's favorite time of year is the fall...when all the leaves require a lot of yard work, his favorite!
Of course, this what the others prefer to do with the leaves
Henry played basketball for the first time and relaly enjoyed it.
Samuel loves his new bike - rides it whenever he gets a moment - anytime we are leaving or coming home into the garage, he hops on for quick ride.
Fun at his preschool fall festival
The kids made a blanket for Grandma to comfort her.

Shawn and I officially incorporated into Regnum Christi.  We've been active with the movement for the past couple years and have grown spiritually as individuals and as a family.  We find it is a great group particularly for immersing our family into the faith and how to live it in our daily lives.  We are blessed and thankful to be a part of this wonderful movement in the church.

Shawn stepped down as official race director for the SPC 5 K this year (after running it for 4 years) but of course was still very involved in helping with it - here's there 3am waffle house crew before they set up the course on race day.
Henry loves to be a Knights of Columbus man like Daddy and Grandpa so instead of running the race he chose to help with it with Shawn.
The younger kids were under the weather so I stayed home with them.  Nicholas ran it himself  and did great!

So proud of you Nicholas!
