Happy 4th Birthday Samuel!

On October 17th, our baby turned 4 years old!  At four, Samuel remains a super active, talkative and affectionate little man.  He is really into sports, any sport.  He will spend hours shooting hoops in the driveway or playing football with his brothers.  He loves to get out the tee to hit balls and even played soccer in the SPC league for the first time this fall.  He was the youngest one on the field and probably the most aggressive, and loved every minute, never wanting to be subbed out and scored numerous goals. He also loves to play with race cars, board games, card games, puzzles, Legos and dress up like super heroes. He plays really well alone and with his siblings.  He loves his pre-school and plays well with friends there.  He knows all his capital and lower case letters, their sounds, and has started blending 3 letter words together to read.  He can count to 100 and can identify numbers up to 10.  He is very independent, even taking his own shower now.  But our absolute favorite part about him is how he says “I love you” spontaneously several times per day and love to snuggle with us.  He is super affectionate and we just could not imagine loving him any more in return!!  Happy Birthday Samuel (aka Kiki or Bubby)

In celebration of his fourth birthday, we invited the Boyle Family (his godparents) over for a Sunday brunch after church.  He chose a race car theme this year so, of course, Mommy made a fun cake and Daddy made his favorite, chocolate ice cream! After we ate and opened gifts, everyone watched while he tried out his new bike!
