Big changes in Sam at 9 months old! He's moved from the army crawl on the belly to a full on crawl on all fours and has taken off all around the house! He's pulling to a stand on anything he can, including his stationary entertainer, which he no longer is interested in playing with from the inside, only the outside of it. He also seems to love to try to squeeze into the tightest of spaces such as between chair legs, under tables, etc. He said his first word this month, "Dada"....and on Father's Day of all days! He's not using it to refer to Shawn actually yet but he babbles it all day long. He's been much more talkative in general this month, babbling away for long periods of the day. He also learned to spit/blow bubbles and likes to practice this frequently. He particularly loves doing this on your arm or face or wherever he can make a sound and then laugh. He continues to squeal loudly when he's excited, it's so cute! He went on his first road trip (all the way to KC) this month and was perfect in car, in fact he is usually his best behaved in the car these days. He certainly sleeps better there than at home! These days he likes to put all toys (and non-toys) in his mouth, but when it comes to food, he still literally shivers in disgust and wants it no where near his mouth. He's become quite proficient at spitting it out by now:-( He still loves to snuggle with Mommy especially. He seems to really enjoy the scripture lullaby music we listen to in his room and smiles and snuggles into my neck right away when I put it on. Oh sweet Sam, we love you so much!!!
