Samuel had a great month! He's crawling faster, standing more and getting into everything, but he's also sleeping better and eating better! So we are happy! He has transitioned to sleeping in his crib at night and for naps and now usually just wakes once a night. He also finally seems to have an appetite for people food, certainly preferring to feed himself table food instead of eat baby food, though he does do both now. He remains super active, so that even just changing his diaper these days is a battle. He particularly loves to pull up on and stand at anything he can. He cruises along the furniture and has started walking with push toys for a few steps. He has even stood on his own for a few seconds a few times. He seems fearless and thinks he is capable of doing more than he can I think. He has learned how to open cabinets (his new favorite thing to do) and drawers and can empty them in no time! He bounces back and forth as if dancing when he hears music and he has learned to wave hi/bye to you (so sweet!!) with a whole arm motion. His favorite person to wave to is himself in the mirror, just beaming and giggling when he does :-) He answers to his name and understands the word NO. He has started saying Mama a little, usually when he is upset, then he calls for me :-( He still mostly babbles Dada happily all day. He loves to turn pages in books and play with balls. He really likes the Wheels on the Bus book. He understands and likes to play cause and effect games like "if I drop this paci, you will pick it up" kind of thing. He had his first trip to the beach/ocean this month and loved both. He is always happy in water. We can't believe how quickly he is growing and how much he is learning lately! He is such a joy in our lives!!
