This year Nicholas once again chose to bring a friend and go to Legoland, ATL for his birthday celebration. His good buddy Joey came along for the fun. We spent the whole morning there building cars and racing them down ramps, riding rides, climbing and building with huge bricks, and learning all about how Legos are made. Nicholas then chose to have lunch at a hotdog joint. Then while the little ones went home for a nap, Daddy took Nicholas, Joey and Grace to see the movie Inside Out. We finished the day up with a little party at home with the Boyle family, complete with pepperoni pizza and spinach salad (Nicholas' requests for his meal). I tried something new and made a Lego cake with alternating layers of chocolate cake and mint chip ice-cream. I think our big 7 year old had a fantastic day! Happy birthday buddy!
