Henry's First Two Weeks

Henry is doing fantastic! He is such a laid back, easy baby to care for so far. He is a great eater and sleeper and only cries when he is hungry or has a dirty diaper. He has quite a bit of awake/alert time for his age too. He nurses every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-4 hours at night. He smiled for the first time at 1 day old and now frequently smiles daily. He also likes to make a very serious looking face where he wrinkles his forehead and looks like he is really thinking hard about something. He is just so sweet and lovable!

Life with three little ones running around our home is an adjustment but we are doing well. We were so thankful to have Shawn's mom stay with us for a week and then Kimberly's parents stay for a week as well. They were a tremendous help. We all enjoyed visiting with them and introducing them to sweet little Henry David.

Big brother and sister are doing SUPER with their new brother. It is so beautiful to see how siblings just love one another automatically!

Grace is really into Henry, coming over to him and gently touching his forehead all day long. She gets so excited to see him and say hi to him each morning.

Nicholas is so proud to be a big brother and teach Henry everything he knows.

Henry's first bath...he liked it pretty well, as long as he could hear the water running.

At his two week check up, Henry was already nearly 7 lbs! His cheeks are really filling out....aren't they so kissable?!!!
