On February 22, 2025 Henry officially became a teenager! This year he set a a BIG goal for his 13th birthday....to run 13.1 miles (a half marathon) on his birthday. And we are so very proud of him for setting a goal, working hard for several months training, and achieving his goal!! He was diligent about is training and it paid off - he ran the race in 1 hour 31 min - that is a 6:59 minute mile pace! We are also very proud of big brother Nicholas who agreed to to train and run the race with him (also his first half marathon). They ran the whole race together and Nicholas let Henry cross the finish line just ahead of him. Henry was the youngest person in the whole race! It was super fun - we made a whole weekend of it, in Savannah, the whole family went and we stayed in an Air B&B. The boys ran the Skidaway Island Half Marathon - about 600 runners total - running a long the Georgia coast with views of marshes, beach, ocean, gold courses and neighborhoods. It was a chilly morning, great for running though! Later that day went went out for a birthday lunch at River House on River Street in Savannah. When we got back home after the weekend we continued to celebrate with an Oreo ice cream cake. Happy Birthday Henry! We love you so very much!!
