The week after the State cross country meet, at XC practice, Grace somehow hyperextended her knee and fractured her distal femur. This put her on crutches with no weight bearing for 2 full weeks and then no running for 6 weeks at least. So she missed the regionals and the national meet. Unfortunately, we had already booked our flights and made reservations to go to College Station Texas for the national meet. So, Grace and I still went to cheer on and support the rest of her girls 11-12 team who have rocked it all year, winning 1st in all meets in the regular season. It ended up being a fun trip still and thankfully Grace looks to make a full recovery!!
The meet was on the Texas A&M campus Equestrian Center - it was beautiful!
The team placed 6th in the nation!!! (likely would have placed higher if Grace was running). Way to go Alpha Crush!
