Spring Break

The kids were treated with a week at Grandma's for spring break and what a treat it was!  She spoiled them and showed them such a fun time that no one wanted to leave.  They absolutely loved their time with her, their cousins and other family members!!  It was so special to spend time with everyone.  I actually got off work for part of the week so was also able to enjoy the later part of the week with them.

They started the week off with a Birthday Party to celebrate Connor's 9th and Matthew's 7th birthdays.  What a super fun time they had with their cousins at Aunt Mindy's house.

The kids all love just hanging out at Mom's house, more than anything else.  They all find things they love to do and spend a lot of time outside especially.  Henry was so excited that Grandma let him use her battery powered lawn mower and cut her grass!

Grace and Grandma sewed a Batman costume for Mother Goose in honor of "Batman" the bunny.

They roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over a bonfire one night

They love going on nature walks through the creek

Even find some cool things!

Nicholas and Sam played a lot of Wall Ball.

Of course, G, H, and S love riding the little vehicles around the yard.
Boys all love playing basketball.

Silly times...
Attempting to make slime (unfortunately not a great result - but fun all the same)
Henry was the MC of our Foosball tournament :-)

Grandma created a super fun scavenger hunt throughout the house with this final prize to find.....Easter baskets for all!!!

The kids all spent lots of time with Batman the bunny - mutual enjoyment for all!

The kids found a turtle on their nature hike and Nicholas painted it like a Ninja Jedi Turtle

Went to Friday night fish fry at ICOM KC hall (fish prepared in Keith's Fry Shack) which was a real treat.  And even better, Uncle Keven, Aunt Beth and Amy joined us and they invited their friend Vince to come so we could meet him....such a nice visit.  Afterward we went to Stations of the Cross and visited Dad's gravesite.

It was a special time to visit Great Grandma in her new home - a very nice new assisted living. She was so excited to host her great grandchildren for a movie in the theatre there - she had the theater reserved and popcorn ready for everyone.  As we walked down the hall for the tour she made sure to tell everyone we passed that these were her great grandchildren visiting her :-).  We had a great visit with her and it was so nice to see how happy she is in her new home.  Afterward we went out for pizza with Andy and Mindy's families which was also very nice!

Mindy and the boys' spring breaks did not coincide with ours but it was so nice of them to take a day off work and school to spend with us!  What a fun day it was - the kids had a sleep over at Aunt Mindy's and Uncle Cody's the night before, she made pancakes for breakfast, she took Nicholas on a 10 mile run on the Katy Trail, we went to Fitz's for lunch, then visited Farm and Home store, went to Urban Air for lots of jumping fun, then taco dinner and play time at their house.  What a great day!!!  The kids absolutely love spending time with their cousins and Aunts and Uncles!

A beautiful long run for Nicholas

Cute baby chicks are Farm and Home store

First ever visit to Fitz's - a local soda bottling company and restaurant.  It was a BIG hit with everyone!
Watching the bottling of Cardinal Cream - in honor of the home opener day for the Cardinals!

They each got a free sample!

Cheers!

Watching the start of the game while waiting for food.

Floats for dessert!!!
