On August 12th, our kids returned to school for the start of the 2020-21 school year....yes, they RETURNED to the actual school! Though most all the public schools in our area (and I think in most in the country) were starting the school year with virtual learning from home, most private schools around us, Queen of Angels included, gave the option for parents to send their kid to school 5 days per week with lots of precautions, or to school virtually 5 days per week. We were comfortable sending our kids to school, and honestly, as 2 working parents in health care who cannot work from home, we really needed them to be able to go to school. The kids were so happy to be going back in person as well!!! In fact, I'm writing this 2mo later and I can attest that they have not complained one bit about having to wear masks all day long, including at recess, and all the other precautions, like staying in their classroom the entire day (i.e no switching classes, they eat lunch in their room, library books brought to them) has not been a big deal at all since they are so happy to be back. The kids are in "cohorts" with their homeroom, so are not exposed to kids in other classes and even on the playground, are sectioned apart from one another. We greatly appreciate all our school is doing to keep our kids safe and in person learning. The school also has also invested in a "swivel" camera system so those learning from home can continue smoothly, and the school is well prepared for times of quarantine and virtual learning that very likely will happen when cases develop. We pray God will protect all students and teachers this school year and that our children may continue to learn and grow in all aspects to be the best persons God created them to be!!!

We are all making many sacrifices theses days to keep everyone safe and healthy...wearing mask all day may not be easy or fun....but a worthy price to pay to be in school, we think!
First day of kindergarten! Such a big boy!! Mary Queen of Angels please intercede for Samuel and all the children's health and safety!
