For Labor Day weekend, we headed to south Georgia to visit Jekyl Island for the first time. What a great time we had!!! We tent camped for 2 nights, and the beaches were empty, so it was easy to stay socially distant and safe. It was hot (which is why we didn't stay the planned third night) but the water felt great and it was so nice to just get away as a family for a bit!
We camped across the road from Driftwood Beach - what a cool place like no other we've seen!
Samuel stood and jumped waves for at least an hour straight!
"Mom, take my picture!"
The Horton House - first house built on the island built in 1743
We hiked to the lake on the Horton House plantation, which had several alligators in it!!!
Heading to watch the sunset and get ice cream one night.
We love out time at the beach!
Henry and Sam's giant hole they dug
Just a handful of sand dollars they found
After a few day of hot camping and beaches...there is nothing like coming home to a giant bubble bath!!!
