Embrace Walk

The annual Embrace Walk was a great success this year.  As board members, Shawn and I were there most of the day helping set up and clean up after.  We brought the 3 older kids with us and they were wonderful helpers.  Henry especially loved handing cups of water to each person mid way through the reflective remembrance walk.  The walk was followed by a nice prayer service and butterfly release.  As always, it was a great event to cause us to take a step back as a family and remember and honor our sweet Juliana and all the babies whose time here on this earth was so short.  We love and miss you sweet Juliana Rose!  We do this every year in memory of you!

Unfortunately, earlier this year, we had close friends of ours lose their baby boy, Matthew Isaac Herrin.  He had Trisomy 18 and lived 15 short days.  We were blessed and saddened to walk along them in their journey.  We now picture Matthew and Juliana playing together in heaven and watching over our families together.

Nicholas is good friends with the Herrin's twin sons Mercer and Andrew so it was nice they were able to share in the special day together.

Our sweet Nicholas…who always seems to have an extra special connection and awareness of Juliana!
