In mid July, we spent 10 days in Virginia visiting Shawn's family. What a great trip! It is always so enjoyable spending time with his mom, his dad and the whole clan. It amazingly worked out that we were able to spend time with each of Shawn's 6 siblings, their spouses and most of their kids....a tough feat since we all live in several different states now. Henry is cousin number 26 and we saw all but 4 on this trip. As always, his mother was such a gracious host and made being away from home all week no problem for the kids. In fact, the kids did great on the drive there and back (it took 13 hrs there but only 10 hrs on the way back). Some highlights of the trip included watching Anthony march in Williamsburg, good food and company at Scott and Kim's, seeing Shannon and Carla's lovely new house which of course included more good food and company, a day at Water Country USA, several days at the pool, celebrating several family birthdays, seeing Juliana's bench at St Joan of Arc (Shawn's mom had it dedicated in her memory), and plenty of fun, food and great company at Shawn's mom's. We feel so blessed to have such great family and only wish we lived closer!

| Anthony plays the fife and marches for Colonial Williamsburg's Junior Fife and Drum Corps. All they learn and do is really impressive . His sister Madison marches for the senior corps as well. |
