On September 23, Grace turned 14! What a treat that Grandma was in town that weekend to help celebrate her birthday. Of course, Grace wanted to bake and decorate her own cake again this year. She made a delicious spice cake with cream cheese frosting with fall decorations. We celebrated Sunday morning (right before Grandma and Aunt Debbie had to leave) with a brunch complete, with a waffle bar and egg casserole. That evening for her family day she wanted to watch the Chiefs/Falcons game and have charcuterie for dinner as a family. Unfortunately, we had to take her to urgent care and got a diagnosis of pneumonia for her that evening so it didn't pan out quite as planned and she just came home and went to bed.
