Dear Samuel,
At 8 years old you are a high energy, outgoing, athletic, aggressive, smart, funny, and super sweet boy! Second grade is a breeze for you so far, especially math. You enjoy reading and math most of all. You have a great group of friends who all love sports just as much as you. You also really enjoy having older siblings at school whose friends think you are super cute and dote on you (maybe too much) - you're a pretty cool man on campus (or at least you think you are:-) You've never met a sport you don't love - most of your free time is spent playing baseball, football or basketball in the yard or driveway. In all things, in particular sports, you continue to be an "all in " kind of kid - super scrappy and competitive! You also love to play any kind of board or card games - games are your thing! You have gotten really into collecting baseball and football cards recently along with Henry. You love to build with blocks and make slow motion videos of them getting crashed down! You are a tough kiddo - playing football with your brothers and older neighbors and it doesn't bother you one bit to go against kids twice your size. You are still the picky eater of the family but are finding new things you like regularly. You enjoy creating your "custom" desserts for us and you still love to have mommy read to you. You are still a big snuggle bug which we all love! You have a heart of gold and strong spirit which we pray will always stay just the same! We love you just the way you are, and always will, sweet Sammy Bammy!

For his birthday dinner Samuel wanted to check out the new Pasta Factory restaurant in town - it was a hit with the whole family!
Henry gave Samuel some really great sports cards!
Nicholas made him a sweet card and gifted him his Nintendo
Grace made him baseball cards of himself!!!
Mom and Dad gave him a Cardinal jersey, new bat, and throw back net
Sam requested an ice cream cake, which we bought from Dairy Queen, but then Grace decorated it with the "Star Wars and pumpkins" that Sam requested on it.
