Spring Break in Missouri

This year for spring break, Shawn and I had to work the first part of the week, so the kids went to Grandma's house for the whole week, and we joined them for the last few days.  It was a fantastic week, full of plenty of old fashion country outdoor play time, cousin time, and quality time with Grandma and other family.  Grandma added a new pool table to the basement, that was also a huge hit with all the kids!  And she even treated the whole family to a Cardinal game with seats right next to the Cardinals bullpen!  It was the perfect way to cap off a super fun week in MO!
Creek fun with cousins Matthew and Connor

Grace and Grandma built a new deer feeder bin.

Henry cut the grass for Grandma.

Grace drove the Mule.

Sam was happy to be able to drive the old lawn mower for fun.

Time with the neighbors livestock

More creek fun

Spending time in old town St Charles.

Playing in the park near Aunt Mindy's house.

Fishing with the Grays.

The day Shawn and I arrived, Mom and I were sitting in the dining room visiting and this rainbow appeared directly over Dad's shed - we'd never seen anything like it!  Mom and I were both brought to tears, knowing it is Dad's sign to us from heaven that he is with us still and watching over us from heaven!

Lots of great Rummy games were had :-)

Family time at the Cardinal game

All the cousin Cardinal fans :-)

Sam got to meet Fredbird!

Nicholas with his godmother Aunt Mindy

Shawn with his godson Matthew

It was cold, but thankfully we got these free giveaway sweatshirts to layer with.

We even got a photo with the Cardinal Cowboy and his world series trophy!

Grandma with all her grandchildren

Samuel created this special place in the woods.

All the kids enjoyed time with their chickens.

But none as much as Sam - he could spend hours on end with the chickens!

Mom and Dad's friends Rich and Sherry allowed us to come fishing at their pond or day and we had great success!

St. Francis' animals got a fresh coat of paint, thanks to the kids and Grandma this week.

Nicholas fried up the fish he caught for us all to eat!  He caught, cleaned and cooked the fish = Fishing merit badge complete!
