In mid February, Shawn took Henry on a very special trip to the Sacred Heart Apostolic School for Regnum Christi in Rolling Prairie, IL. This is a school for boys grades 8-12 that are considering the priesthood and is run by the Legionary priests. Each year they hold a National Winter Sports Tournament where boys, 5th-8th grade, come from all over the US and Canada to compete is various sports including basketball, hockey, soccer, and handball. On the final day they go skiing at a local small ski resort. The boys (and dads) stay in the school and get a taste of life at this Catholic boarding school, including mass and the sacraments. Shawn and Henry went up a couple days early, with their friends Javier and Andres, flying into Chicago and seeing and tasting the sites of Chi town first. At the school, they had a great time meeting people from all over. It was Henry's first time skiing as well and he picked it up pretty quickly. It was a wonderful trip!
