On our final day, as we drove back towards Atlanta to head home, we stopped at Fontana Lake, just south of the national park, and rented some paddle boards and kayaks for a few hours. The lake was pristine and super quiet and peaceful, with no motor boats at all. We had a great couple of hours paddling around the lake, followed by a nice lunch at the Nantahala Outdoor Center watching the Olympic level kayakers tackle the rapids. Thank you God for another great national park vacation! We love seeing your glory through nature!
