Dear Nicholas,
Happy 14th Birthday! How did we get so lucky to have you as our son? You are absolute joy to our family. You are a respectful, kind, funny, super smart, athletic, and cool kid! You continue to excel in school - straight A's your entire life up to this point - and when it comes to school you are super independent as well - thus far you have managed your time well in middle school and we see you learn, grow, and achieve each day as a result. You have a great group of friends and are a good friend to all. You stay very busy with running and swimming all year round - you love both sports equally and do well in both. You have a practice for one or the other 6 days a week. You are also very involved with Boy Scouts - almost to Life rank at this point - which is really amazing. You volunteer with special needs children at the church in Shine class twice a month, amongst many other varied volunteer and service activities. You have been so responsible in the past year (including making Samuels' school lunch every single day for me) that for your birthday we rewarded you with a phone - which you have been asking for for a couple years. We now feel you are a good age and have earned the privilege to have one responsibly. You still love Star Wars, reading, playing football with your brothers in the front yard, and Legos (some but not as much lately). You are now starting to babysit your siblings and take good care of them. We are so very proud of the young man you are growing to be, and thank God every day for wonderful beautiful YOU! Happy Birthday, we love you so very much!
XOXOX
