This year we again went on the Family Holy Week Mission trip through Regnum Cristi. Holy Thursday through Holy Saturday evening we stayed at the Carmel Retreat center and engrossed ourselves in service, spritual formation and evangelization and once again it was a wonderful experience! Removing ourselves from our familiar surroundings and distractions gave us the opportunity to attend all Holy Week masses and services as well as focus on this pinnacle of the liturgical year - Christ's death and resurrection. We tried to show Christ's great love to others as well through prayer and service.
| We knocked on doors at a local trailor park, requesting prayer intentions and nailing them to cross. |
| We also went to a local shopping center and requested prayers - the crosses with the intentions were processed up at Holy Saturday mass and whole parish prays for them. |
| Spiritual activities for adults and kids alike |
| Serving one another |
| And serving others - Christ Closet - we give away clothes, toys etc |
| And also host a free BBQ, soccer tournament and egg hunt at the trailor park |
| And we had another egg hunt for all the kids in our mission group back at the retreat center |
| The kids enacted their own little stations of the cross |
| And we also attended an elaborate re-inactment at the local parish. |
| We visited a local nursing home and Grace and Nicholas were each able to play some songs on the keyboard for the residents. |
