Merry Christmas! We spent the Christmas holiday at home this year. We attended the Christmas Eve children's mass where Grace and Henry participated in the Gospel nativity re-enactment, and Shawn and Nicholas were ushers. Afterward we enjoyed our tradition of cheese soup, ham and biscuit dinner. Each person chose one gift to open and then it was time to head to bed so the big man could come and bring gifts. I believe it was Henry who was up first this year - around 5:30 am! Everyone must have been good because we were showered with many wonderful gifts! We spent the day opening and enjoying them and then feasted on a standing rib roast, potatoes and green beans for dinner. The rest of the Christmas season was full of lots of game nights by the fireside, movie nights and just low key family time. It was a lovely Christmas season!
