All Kinds of Spring Fun

This spring has been particularly busy.  As the kids are getting older and into more sports and activities, we find ourselves running from one event to another more and more.  There have been many wonderful ones in the past couple months of school but here are just a few highlights from the spring.

Grace and Nicholas both performed very well at their spring piano recital.

I took Shawn for a "date day" for his birthday while our good friends the Nicolsoi's watched the kids for us.  We went to the College Football Hall of Fame, located in downtown ATL.  It was our first time there, we were very impressed!  Very cool and very fun!  We enjoyed lunch at Ponce City Market as well!  It was a lovely day with my honey!

While I was tied up for a couple days at a CME conference, Shawn  took off work and held down the fort.  He decided to tackle the playset which needed painting badly, along with his 2 year old helper.  Samuel loved it!  I loved that they did it too (except for the stained clothes!!!)

Graced and Henry again played on the same church league soccer team this spring.  They both have improved dramatically this year and really love playing!  It was a wonderful season!

Grace's "fish" face of concentration.

Look at that crew!!!

Shawn and his friend Jason had the unique opportunity to repel down a 20 story building in Atlanta!!!!  And he was excited about it!!!  Yes crazy I know!!  Because Shawn and Jason headed up the SPC 5K which raised around 27K for GA Special Olympics, they were offered a spot in the fundraiser/publicity event.  Shawn said the hardest part was stepping over the edge but after that it really wasn't scary at all!!!  Amazing!

Grace was the one child chosen from her kindergarten class to carry a bouquet of flowers to Mary at the May Crowning this year.  She was so excited and did a lovely job!  It was a very beautiful service/rosary.

Henry's preschool class hosted a Mother's Day Tea where they sang several songs to us including the Hail Mary and skinamarinkidink I love you (sp?). Afterward the kids served us strawberry shortcake and tea and we opened the card and gift from them....a painting made by Henry and a framed cut silhouette of him!  It was a so special to spend this hour with just Henry!

Henry walking up the aisle with his class at his end of the year preschool mass.

All 3 of the PreK classes from SPC this year.

Grace's kindergarten held a "Moving On" ceremony.  They sang several sweet songs and were presented their certificates for completing kindergarten.

Just one of many unique Lego creations by Nicholas

The Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet is held at the end of each school year to celebrate the  year's accomplishments.  This year the event was Pokemon themed!  Nicholas designed this giant Pokemon card for the centerpiece of his den's table.

Having fun with his fellow scouts

Receiving the belt loops he earned as a Wolf.  Nicholas completed all Wolf requirements and advanced to the Bear rank.

Late Spring piano recital.

Olympic Day!

These kiddos volunteered to put up and take down all the flags around the church for Memorial Day.  Great Job!!
